A. Seminars 2009
China has built more than 90,000 reservoir dams by now. 40% of them exists accident potential and most of them have been remedied, accumulating rich experiences in danger control and reinforcement of reservoir dams.
HydrOu China will share these experiences with colleagues all over the world through Seminars 2009.

Discussion on Guide for Design and Construction of CFRD (Draft) was held on Oct. 6~8 in Hotel Pinghu, Yichang, China aiming at perfecting the Guide for Design and Construction of CFRD and more available for future high world CFRD construction. The experts are representatives from national level, provincial level and prefectural level design, construction, dam safety, owner and manufacturer of materials in China. The draft was revised thoroughly and materially item by item and word for word and phraseologically.

It carries design, construction, performance and management, materials and equipments, scientific research and analog computation, instrumentation and experimental findings for CFRDs, special study on 300m high CFRD construction, and outstanding achievements of specialists and corporations that have made contributions to the world CFRD construction.
A contributor shall submit his articles in English together with his registration photo and CV for publication.

Training Course on Key Technologies for High CFRD 2007 was held, Yichang China, Oct. 22~26, 2007.
The participants from Thailand and Switzerland attended the course and exchanged key technology for prevention of cracking and rupture of extra high CFRDs and construction experience of Shuibuya CFRD , 233m high , the highest in the world at present. |
